Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in management, business, or relevant field or degree from a recognized culinary institute
  • four years experience in food service management
  • or eight years comparable related professional experience in food service management
  • food service management certification from Ohio Health Department or ability to obtain certification within three months of hire
  • pass a security check
  • varied working schedule based on business needs

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in management, business, or relevant field or degree from a recognized culinary institute
  • four years experience in food service management
  • or eight years comparable related professional experience in food service management
  • food service management certification from Ohio Health Department or ability to obtain certification within three months of hire
  • knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to health, safety, and sanitation of a food service operation

Job Duties

  • Manage or assist Senior Manager in managing assigned dining service operation
  • provide and ensure quality customer service
  • supervise assigned area personnel including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating
  • monitor inventory and order products, supplies, and equipment
  • oversee budget for assigned area and develop reports
  • ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and sanitation laws and regulations
  • monitor food preparation procedures
  • assist in development and implementation of production standards
  • ensure compliance with standards
  • develop and cost menus and new recipes
  • provide leadership of a small department, unit or major function
  • direct supervision over administrative and professional employees
  • perform related duties as assigned
