Job Requirements
- Two-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- Eight years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
- Or four-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- Six years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
- General Manager experience in limited or full-service property preferred
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
- Property industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
Job Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with eight years of relevant experience
- Or four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with six years of relevant experience
- Proven General Manager experience in limited or full-service properties preferred
- Demonstrated progressive career growth and exceptional performance in hospitality management
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late nights
- Experience in sales, marketing, finance, and human resources management
Job Duties
- Develop and execute business strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
- Lead and hold property leadership team accountable for business plan delivery and professional development
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to create and implement revenue-generating strategies
- Foster a high-performance Executive Committee through coaching and development initiatives
- Advocate and uphold JW Marriott brand values to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Analyze business data to inform decisions and continuously improve property performance
- Build strong relationships with property owners, local community, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, operational, and brand standards through regular audits and training
- Manage employee and labor relations promoting open communication and engagement
- Work with Revenue Management to develop pricing strategies and maximize revenue
