Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 8 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 6 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • Preferred general manager experience in limited or full-service property
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
  • Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 8 years of relevant management experience
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 6 years of relevant management experience
  • Proven success in general management roles within full-service or limited-service hospitality properties
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing executive teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late nights
  • Experience in sales, marketing, finance, and accounting within the hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute property business strategies aligned with Marriott brand goals
  • Lead and manage the property leadership team ensuring accountability and professional development
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to drive revenue growth and demand generation
  • Oversee talent management including coaching, staffing, and succession planning
  • Serve as a brand champion promoting Marriott and JW Marriott values and standards
  • Analyze business data to inform decision-making and improve operational performance
  • Manage employee and labor relations promoting a respectful and engaging work environment
  • Partner with revenue management to establish pricing strategies and maximize profitability
  • Build and maintain strong owner relations ensuring alignment and transparency
  • Engage with customers and local community to enhance brand presence and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and brand standards through audits and operational reviews
