Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of general manager or senior management experience in full-service hotels
  • Proven track record of financial management and operational leadership
  • Ability to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Commitment to uphold high standards of guest service and team leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing high volume full-service hotel properties
  • Preferably Hilton brand experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills to motivate and inspire teams
  • Expertise in guest service excellence focused on customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • In-depth operational knowledge of hotel departments including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
  • Financial acumen with skills in budget management, financial data analysis and profitability optimization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions etc
  • Develop departmental sales plan in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing including specific tactics for revenue generation
  • Set hotel goals both qualitative and quantitative
  • Develop business and financial plans and monitor hotel performance according to plan
  • Ensure the hotel meets all debt and lease term obligations and contractual requirements
  • Develop associates for career advancement using performance review systems, cross training and development planning
  • Oversee expense control systems with close monitoring of all department expenses including revenue to payroll ratio and appropriate forecasting
  • Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to and associates are accountable for compliance
  • Maintain exceptional guest relations through staffing, programming, service operations and maintenance
  • Recruit, select and develop a qualified team of department leaders to balance guest satisfaction, associate retention and owner returns
  • Actively participate in community and industry events to enhance local community reputation and brand relations
