Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years operational foodservice management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Services Technology/Management or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage financial budgeting and reporting
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people professionally
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
  • Experience in multi-unit management or willingness to develop these skills
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred
  • Ability to conduct audits and manage multiple facilities effectively

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field preferred
  • A.A. degree plus five to seven years of related experience acceptable
  • Minimum of five years retail operational foodservice management experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of food and catering trends, quality control, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentation
  • Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services desirable
  • Multi-unit management experience preferred
  • Experience with cash retail operations
  • Retail marketing experience highly desirable
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with management, customer and associate levels
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and Internet usage
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Manage overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments
  • Ensure operation meets all service timelines and management/client deadlines
  • Develop, analyze, and manage budgets and financial reports
  • Interact professionally with associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers
  • Demonstrate initiative and good judgment in problem-solving and assisting others
  • Conduct management meetings to maintain communication and standards
  • Audit units for compliance with food safety, sanitation, and record keeping standards
  • Hire, train and orient new management associates
