Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of retail food service management experience within a high volume institution such as a hospital university or business dining
  • Marketing merchandising and cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of brand renovations and construction
  • Experience managing multiple outlets such as cafeteria coffee shop/kiosk convenience store and grab & go formats
  • Solid computer skills including experience implementing or maintaining retail technology
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Healthcare experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Deliver strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs continually monitoring operations and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal merchandise quality and service
  • Drive customer satisfaction by utilizing customer feedback to respond to customer needs and improve retail services
  • Ensure compliance to sanitation and general workplace safety standards
  • Oversee all retail and catering operations including cash handling marketing and merchandising product presentation quality and cost control catering retail systems and technology
  • Develop and implement retail services plan to improve service quality and profitability of service areas
  • Interact with client management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels including conducting rounding and identifying Aramark service expansion opportunities
  • Provide overall direction and manage performance for retail managers supervisors and/or front line staff ensuring employee development engagement and compliance with human resource related policies including conducting applicable rounding
  • Develop operational component forecasts and explain variances
  • Schedule and manage food service activities in compliance with Aramark healthcare food service systems
  • Adapt to changing job duties as necessary to meet commitments and improve service
