Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 8 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 6 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • General manager experience with emphasis on boutique and luxury preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
  • Property industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 8 years of relevant management experience
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with 6 years of relevant management experience
  • Experience in general management with emphasis on boutique and luxury hotels preferred
  • Demonstrated progressive career growth and exceptional performance in the property industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late nights
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business and sales strategies
  • Experience managing employee relations and driving employee engagement
  • Knowledge of revenue management best practices

Job Duties

  • Develop business strategies aligned with company and brand goals
  • Execute business plans to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to generate revenue and pursue new business leads
  • Foster talent management through coaching, development plans, and succession planning
  • Serve as a passionate brand champion, promoting Renaissance and Marriott values
  • Analyze business data to inform strategic decisions and ensure operational success
  • Build and maintain strong owner and community relationships
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, operational, and brand standards through audits and training
  • Oversee employee and labor relations to maintain a respectful and engaged workforce
  • Work with revenue management to optimize pricing, occupancy, and revenue growth
