Job Requirements
- education of at least an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related field
- minimum of 6 to 8 years of leadership experience in hotel management operations, sales, and marketing
- proven ability to lead and develop executive and management teams
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- capacity for strategic business planning and execution
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
- commitment to uphold Marriott and Renaissance brand standards
- ability to build and maintain relationships with property owners, guests, and local community
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- or 4-year bachelor's degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- general manager experience with emphasis on boutique and luxury hotels
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
- demonstrated progressive career growth and exceptional performance in the property industry
Job Duties
- function as the primary strategic business leader of the property
- drive implementation of Renaissance brand service strategy and initiatives
- hold property leadership team accountable for strategy execution and guide their professional development
- leverage Marriott International sales engines and initiate proactive sales activities
- build owner loyalty through proactive communication and delivering solid business results
- be actively involved in the local community and build strong relationships with officials, businesses, and customers
- ensure compliance with legal, safety, operational, labor, and brand standards through audits and accountability
