Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management or related field
  • Five to seven years of management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • Certification in advanced food service sanitation training
  • Valid food handlers certificate
  • Valid alcohol service permit if required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Cash handling experience
  • High ethical standards
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of event management and facility operations
  • Understanding of budgeting and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in English

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university in Business/Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • Management experience in a ball park or stadium preferred
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification
  • Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • Ability to make sound business and operations decisions quickly and under pressure
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to adhere to highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated knowledge of event solicitation and presentation, public relations, marketing, media relations, event planning, facility operations, budget preparation and personnel management
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control
  • Considerable knowledge of safety regulations and federal, state or local laws
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English

Job Duties

  • Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the assigned venue
  • Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, P&L financial statements
  • Final decision-maker on equipment purchases and leases
  • Conflict resolution

  • Author, review and amend policies & procedures, as required

  • Oversee scheduling and labor allocation
  • Analyze ticket sales in relation to anticipating staffing needs, target market demographics

  • Evaluate recent historical sales and purchasing data for the purpose of identifying purchasing patterns and accurate cost of goods
  • Program and maintain the point of sale system to ensure accurate financial reporting, tracking of accountability, and commodity levels by location
  • Direct and assist managers in preparing and attaining future goals
  • Provide each manager with proper direction and follow up on all assignments
  • Inspect operations regularly to ensure established quality standards are maintained
  • Prepare required reports accurately and submit them on time, follow up with department heads to ensure reporting is completed within guidelines
  • Develop an effective management team
  • Give managers clear direction and provide necessary assistance
  • Evaluate each manager's performance and recommend improvements
  • Review and assist in the development of menus and marketing plans with department heads
  • Establish and maintain personal relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors and the public to project the venue positively
