Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, hospitality management or related field
- 5-7 years management experience in food services or concessions
- Proven leadership skills
- Advanced food service sanitation training course certification
- Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if applicable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Cash handling proficiency
- High integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of event solicitation and facility operations
- Knowledge of budget management
- Understanding of safety regulations
- Proficiency in English
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university in business/hospitality management or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years management experience in food-related or concessions industry
- Management experience in a ball park or stadium preferred
- Proven leadership skills
- Nationally recognized advanced food service sanitation training certification
- Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by state or local government
- Effective communication skills fostering positive work environment
- Ability to make sound business decisions quickly and under pressure
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Knowledge of event solicitation, presentation, public relations, marketing, media relations, event planning, facility operations, budget preparation and personnel management
- Knowledge of budget preparation and control
- Considerable knowledge of safety regulations and applicable laws
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Job Duties
- Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the assigned venue
- Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, and P&L financial statements
- Make final decisions on equipment purchases and leases
- Resolve conflicts, act as last-resort mediator, arbitrator and participate in labor negotiations when applicable
- Author, review, and amend policies and procedures as required
- Author and amend contracts and authorize terms
- Oversee scheduling and labor allocation
- Analyze ticket sales to anticipate staffing needs and target market demographics
- Evaluate purchasing patterns and cost of goods from historical sales data
- Program and maintain point of sale system for accurate financial reporting, tracking accountability and commodity levels
- Direct and assist managers in preparing and attaining future goals
- Provide managers with proper direction and follow-up on assignments
- Inspect operations regularly to uphold established quality standards
- Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time while ensuring departmental compliance
- Develop an effective management team
- Give managers clear direction and necessary assistance
- Evaluate manager performance and recommend improvements
- Collaborate on menu and marketing plan development with department heads
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public
