Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
- 5-7 years experience in Food & Beverage Management or related position
- strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS systems
- experience in staff training and mentoring
- advanced inventory management skills
- ability to handle high volume product ordering
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- decisive and able to manage operational challenges under pressure
- experience working in fast-paced, event-driven settings
- knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations
- basic math skills for financial transactions
- commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality
- willingness to maintain a flexible, event-driven work schedule including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or greater in Culinary Management, Business Management, or related field
- 5-7 years experience in Food & Beverage Management or related experience
- ability to substitute degree requirement with equivalent experience
- solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping system
- experience training new employees and volunteers
- advanced knowledge of inventory procedures and controls
- experience ordering product for a high-volume venue
- excellent communication skills
- ability to make sound operational decisions quickly and under pressure
- ability to work well in team-oriented, fast-paced environments
- thorough knowledge of sanitation, food preparation, alcohol service, and safety standards
- ability to calculate basic math functions related to cash and inventory
- commitment to integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
- preferred certifications in food service sanitation and alcohol service training
Job Duties
- Manage, develop, and mentor staff including initiating employee discipline as required
- complete documentation of employee performance and attendance issues
- generate and review financial reports including budgets and P&L statements
- coordinate all marketing channels including website and social media
- design and produce graphics and digital content for promotion
- create and distribute press releases and media content
- build and maintain strong media and community relationships
- monitor and report on marketing performance and budgets
- ensure proper event set-up including inventory verification and sanitation standards
- oversee smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events
- manage inventory, product orders, and high volume sales
- run all venue operations before, during, and after events including staff scheduling and POS monitoring
- train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
- cover and back-up open positions as needed
- ensure compliance with labor laws, sanitation guidelines, and safety policies
- complete post-event evaluations and reporting
- maintain a safe, harassment-free work environment
- provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff and volunteers
- promote a positive and cooperative workplace environment
