Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business-related field
  • ability to manage multi-layer employee teams
  • experience managing P&L with revenue of 10M+
  • strong financial analysis and business acumen
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • ability to travel as necessary
  • commitment to maintaining compliance with regulations and policies
  • strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • proven track record in driving operational improvements and revenue growth

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management
  • bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or related field
  • MBA or master’s level business education is a plus
  • experience developing and leading teams with multiple layers and varying skill sets
  • proven record of success managing profit and loss with revenue of 10M+
  • in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions including supply chain, finance, customer service and workflow optimization
  • expert knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • acute financial analysis skills related to EBITDA, revenue, and cost drivers
  • experience developing long-term business strategies and ensuring compliance with employee policies
  • commitment to continuous evaluation of business efficiency and ability to implement mitigation plans
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and training delivery
  • ability to travel as required
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software is preferred
  • ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and model a professional manner with staff and clients

Job Duties

  • Acts as a collaborative liaison between hospitals, NVA support center, and divisional operations leadership
  • acquires and maintains knowledge of organizational and local practice policies and procedures
  • leverages practice management software and NVA support systems for reporting and training
  • ensures proper staff scheduling and optimization
  • analyzes operational reports and identifies areas for improvement
  • implements and champions NVA initiatives as a change manager
  • oversees employee benefits program and hospital insurance plans
  • develops and implements hospital policies including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance
  • performs quality checks and client file reviews
  • monitors computer systems and coordinates with HelpDesk to resolve technical issues
  • strategizes with Managing Veterinarian to implement best veterinary and business practices
  • collaborates on strategic planning and sets action plans with goals and performance tracking
  • holds management accountable to productivity and financial targets
  • analyzes and improves systems, policies, and processes
  • participates in regional meetings
  • champions change and promotes best practices
  • trains and develops hospital managers and leads
  • mentors and coaches hospital leadership
  • ensures training in financial and operational systems for managers
  • analyzes hospital financial health and leads annual budget preparation
  • oversees cost management and drives revenue growth
  • manages payroll and accounts receivable
  • controls hospital inventory and administrative costs
  • addresses staffing needs including hiring and disciplinary actions
  • manages performance cycles and personnel issues
  • ensures compliance with federal and state HR policies
  • conducts staff performance reviews and recommends training
  • mediates conflicts and provides staff feedback
  • manages hospital leadership teams
  • tracks and maintains licensures for veterinarians
  • demonstrates and reinforces highest level of client service
  • resolves client issues and escalations
  • drives client visits through strategic communication and marketing
  • oversees client acquisition and retention initiatives
  • assesses and enhances service quality
