Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • 5+ years of retail management experience in a high-growth, high-performing environment in multiple locations
  • 3+ years experience running a delivery service for multiple locations
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and ability to innovate, take calculated risks, and drive business growth
  • Proven experience establishing strategic goals with key stakeholders and monitoring performance through KPIs and metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office, highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Willingness to travel domestically 25-30% of the year
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
  • Experience in a fast-paced and compliance-driven atmosphere
  • Working knowledge of data analysis including labor workforce management and performance metrics
  • Ability to advance organizational stability through change and risk management while working as part of a team
  • Lead development and training of procedures to meet critical deadlines accurately
  • Possess a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Knowledge or high desire to learn about cannabis plant/product including strains, genetics, THC content, and terminology
  • Must pass all required background checks

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or related field preferred
  • OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certified
  • Experience in owning or managing a business with understanding of ownership challenges and rewards
  • Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately
  • Media training or public relations experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and forward-thinking environment
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local laws related to industry, personnel, safety, municipal codes, and company rules
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans and budgets incorporating new industry information

Job Duties

  • Ensure all locations are operating to maximize financial performance and delivering on financial budgets including P&L while delivering a superior customer experience consistent with brand standards
  • Achieve revenue, profit, and KPIs as prescribed by the company
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, increase profitability, and achieve KPIs
  • Work with marketing and purchasing teams on promotional opportunity strategies
  • Teach store managers how to read their store numbers to make better decisions from labor scheduling to product placement
  • Implement plans and financial objectives while empowering managers with selling strategies
  • Assist in scheduling and performing regular financial and compliance audits holding locations accountable for results
  • Build and maintain a strong store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training associates
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to store managers and staff to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service
  • Actively participate in sourcing, interviewing, hiring, coaching, disciplining, and termination of talent for all retail locations
  • Lead the performance management process for location employees and improve competencies with HR support
  • Empower retail leaders and staff to align selling strategies with individual store and market needs
  • Drive performance by coaching and developing retail associates through feedback, recognition, and coaching
  • Conduct regular store visits and inspections to assess performance and provide feedback
  • Build and retain a highly engaged team that represents company values and delivers company prescribed outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, and inventory management to optimize store performance
  • Develop creative market strategies with marketing team to drive growth and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Represent the company and its image with the highest integrity in and out of the workplace
  • Deliver and execute plans that enable store teams to create engagement and loyalty in communities
  • Create awareness and build capabilities around product and customer service satisfaction fostering a culture that supports core values
  • Coach managers through operational changes to solve customer issues from feedback surveys
  • Maximize sales and profitability while maintaining and increasing customer service standards
  • Provide a stimulating and supportive environment fostering teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage risks associated with operating a licensed retail cannabis dispensary
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to identify new business opportunities and navigate challenges
  • Manage continuous cash handling at all locations
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to inform decisions
  • Strive for continuous self-improvement and performance excellence
  • Perform other duties to support team members and business as assigned
