Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • general manager experience in limited or full-service property preferred
  • ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
  • industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 8 years of relevant experience
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 6 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related areas
  • Demonstrated success in leading a hotel or hospitality property, preferably with General Manager experience
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience building effective teams
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with revenue management and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of brand standards and hospitality industry trends

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement revenue-generating strategies
  • Lead and coach the executive committee to foster a high-performance culture
  • Act as a brand champion by promoting Marriott’s values and ensuring exceptional guest experiences
  • Analyze business data to inform decisions and enhance property performance
  • Manage employee and labor relations to maintain a positive and fair workplace
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, labor, and brand standards through regular audits and facility inspections
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners through proactive communication
  • Engage with local community and stakeholders to enhance brand presence and develop strategic alliances
