Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent education/experience
- five years experience as a general manager with resort and/or convention hotel experience preferred
- advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management
- proven leadership ability
- strong hotel operational background
- analytical thinking
- professional verbal and written communication skills
- computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint
- human resource skills including recruitment, training, motivation and team building

Job Duties
- Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote a good image
- maintain the property in first class condition
- resolve customer complaints as appropriate
- support consistent asset management and engineering services
- support consistent human resources management
- oversee housekeeping, bell staff, operators, guest service agents, and security
- implement operational, sales, marketing, capital, revenue, expense and profit goals
- drive customer satisfaction index
- resolve timeshare owner and guest concerns
- promote company incentive programs
- review daily prompt response log
- meet or exceed guest satisfaction ratings
- implement company programs
- direct night manager focusing on guest service and safety
- ensure departmental pre-shift meetings
- conduct monthly intercom meetings
- promote performance recognition
- enforce company SOPs
- assign work to direct reports
- ensure staff training
- perform timely performance evaluations
- direct property asset management staff
- lead safety committee
- maintain security and key control
- manage checkbook system
