Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel management or related leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operational standards and procedures
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local compliance regulations
  • Ability to handle disciplinary actions and enforce policies
  • Experience in customer service and conflict resolution
  • Proficiency in property management and accounting systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and maintenance standards
  • Valid driver's license if required for property supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Previous management experience in hotel or hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • Train associates in various departments on job duties
  • Maintain open communication between managers and associates
  • Enforce company handbook, SOPs, and business conduct codes
  • Conduct disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Provide tools needed for associates to perform tasks
  • Conduct weekly leadership team and staff meetings
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new personnel
  • Ensure accurate federal, state, and local reporting compliance
  • Monitor OSHA information and enforce safety procedures
  • Generate and monitor hotel budget, profit and loss statements
  • Evaluate staff performance regularly
  • Adhere to professionalism and standard operating procedures
  • Follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Promote a positive and helpful attitude
  • Assist other leadership members when needed
  • Monitor service trends and resolve guest service issues
  • Recognize associates' outstanding service
  • Collaborate on sales and pricing strategy development
  • Represent the hotel in the market and develop key accounts
  • Oversee inventory control and selling strategy
  • Manage comp rooms and charity donations inquiries
  • Ensure accounting policies and sanitation standards are maintained
  • Conduct monthly inspections of guest rooms and public areas
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed
  • Manage accounting systems including payroll and accounts payable
  • Assist with property renovation projects and budgets
  • Handle legal issues related to building warranties
