Job Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
- 6-8 years of relevant management experience
- Proven leadership in hotel operations
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to upholding Marriott brand standards and values
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 8 years of experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related area
- OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years of experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related area
- Experience as a General Manager in limited or full-service hotel properties preferred
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships with employees, guests, owners, and community stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and revenue strategies
- Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and competitive market analysis
Job Duties
- Develop and execute business strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
- Lead and hold the property leadership team accountable for successful implementation of business plans
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create and pursue revenue-generating opportunities
- Build and develop a high-performance Executive Committee and overall team, focusing on talent management and succession planning
- Act as a passionate brand advocate by ensuring Marriott and JW brand standards are integrated into the guest experience
- Analyze business performance data to inform strategic decisions and proactive management
- Maintain strong relationships with property owners through communication and reporting
- Engage regularly with guests and the local community to enhance customer relations and brand presence
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal, safety, and labor standards
- Manage revenue strategies in collaboration with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and occupancy
- Foster positive employee and labor relations, promoting an open and respectful workplace environment
