Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
  • general manager experience in limited or full-service property preferred
  • ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
  • property industry work experience demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance
  • strong leadership and strategic planning skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree with 8 years relevant experience or 4-year bachelor’s degree with 6 years relevant experience
  • experience in management operations, sales, marketing, finance or related areas
  • general manager experience preferred
  • proven leadership and business acumen
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrated success in achieving profitability and market growth
  • experience in talent management and staff development

Job Duties

  • Develop business strategies aligned with Marriott brand goals
  • execute business plans to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
  • collaborate with Sales and Marketing to generate revenue and pursue new business leads
  • lead talent management and organizational development
  • champion JW Marriott brand values and inspire operational excellence
  • analyze business data to inform strategic decisions
  • manage employee and labor relations fostering open communication
  • develop and implement revenue management strategies
  • build and maintain strong owner relationships
  • oversee customer and public relations to uphold brand image
  • ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards
