Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of supervisory experience in relevant fields
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Completion of certification testing where applicable
  • Basic computer proficiency

  • One year of supervisory experience in convenience store, retail, fast food, or restaurant operations
  • Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment

  • Effective communication with all organization levels
  • Ability to provide coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Job Duties

  • Assist store manager in all aspects of daily shift management including customer relations, inventory control, procedural tasks and paperwork, and visual merchandising
  • Maintain both individual and shift sales
  • Provide daily shift floor coverage
  • Train sales associates
  • Supervise point of sale (POS) systems
  • Provide security and loss prevention in store
  • Maintain company standards regarding personal and store sales and performance metrics
  • Stock shelves and refrigerated coolers
  • Assist manager in minimizing loss of cash and inventory and operating within assigned shrink targets
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws within convenience and food store operations
  • Shadow manager in day to day operations
  • Provide the best customer experience to every customer
  • Greet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting
  • Suggest possible purchases to customers and promote specials
  • Assume full responsibility for execution of customer service programs at site level
  • Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Ensure all site employees are trained on safety policies and procedures
  • Enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations
  • Maintain safety and security of the store and document incidents
  • Manage maintenance of customer environment inside and around the store perimeter
  • Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently
  • Support implementation of company safety and health programs
  • Report and investigate workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses
  • Complete new employee safety orientation
  • Inspect store for workplace hazards and initiate corrective action
  • Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions and initiate corrective action
  • Promote quick return to work for employees under supervision
