Job Requirements
- restaurant management experience totaling 5-7 years
- minimum 3 years managing P&L for restaurants of similar complexity
- ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- understanding of financial and operational reports
- excellent communication skills
- willingness to work a varied and rotating schedule including opening, busy, and closing shifts
- commitment to safety and health protocols
- ability to use management information systems
Job Qualifications
- experience managing QSR, casual dine, or similar restaurants with P&L responsibility for multiple annual cycles
- graduation from a food service management or culinary program may substitute for experience
- demonstrated team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, quality, and operations standards
- ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, menus, and brand standards
Job Duties
- open and close the restaurant and hold shift managers accountable for closing and opening checklists
- deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and accept P&L responsibility
- assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered
- provide staff with consistent support, coaching, and encouragement
- interview job candidates, make hiring and termination decisions, and promote HMSHost as an employer of choice
- ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion philosophy and manage on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- monitor financial and operational data to meet goals and recognize staff contributions using company recognition tools
