Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience with overall 5-7 years in similar type restaurants
- completion or progress in Food Service Management or Culinary education preferred
- proven ability to manage financials and staff effectively
- strong leadership and decision-making skills
- ability to work varied and rotating schedules
- ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and policy documents
- commitment to safety and health protocols
- ability to use technology and management information systems

Job Qualifications
- Restaurant management experience with documented success in P&L management for multiple cycles
- overall restaurant experience of 5-7 years
- graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute part of experience
- demonstrated team management and delegation skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities
- knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
- strong communication skills
- ability to understand and apply brand standards and policies
- experience in employee engagement and development
Job Duties
- Open and close the restaurant ensuring compliance with checklists and standards
- deploy staff effectively to maximize profitability and accept P&L responsibility
- assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shift coverage
- provide coaching and support to restaurant staff to achieve goals
- make hiring, termination, promotion, and advancement decisions
- promote diversity and inclusion philosophies
- manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- monitor financial and operational reports and assign resources accordingly
- recognize staff contributions and support recognition initiatives
- accept and champion employee engagement behaviors
- maintain accurate associate contact information
- prepare daily orders and maintain product availability
- oversee receiving goods, processing invoices, and managing vendor relationships
- maintain proficiency in management software and tools
- monitor and service restaurant equipment
- participate in audits and food donation programs
- assess associate skills and conduct training
- promote adoption of new technologies
- maintain knowledge of brand standards, CBAs, and lease agreements
- develop strategies to increase revenue
- manage associate activities and resolve customer and staff issues
- utilize employee strengths and provide feedback
- implement marketing programs and comply with promotional activities
- ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitary standards
- hold staff accountable for safety protocols
- train managers and associates in health and safety practices including COVID-19 protocols
- perform other related job duties as needed
