Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • eight to ten years of upscale food service experience
  • six years in a management role
  • experience as a General Manager or similar position preferred
  • personnel management skills including hiring and supervision
  • leadership and organizational skills
  • problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • multitasking and concentration skills
  • experience with food purchasing and inventory control
  • ability to prepare budgets and financial reports
  • knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • understanding of HACCP controls
  • ability to ensure health and fire safety compliance
  • strong client relations skills
  • catering experience
  • ethical conduct
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • eight to ten years of upscale food service experience
  • six years’ experience at the management level
  • previous experience as a General Manager or similar role in hospitality or food service industry preferred
  • experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and succession planning
  • proven ability to achieve company goals in compliance with policies and procedures
  • excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills
  • effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • ability to multitask and maintain focus amid interruptions
  • experience in food purchasing, food costs, and inventory control
  • ability to create budgets, flash reports, financial targets, and forecasts
  • knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation of multiple cash banks
  • knowledge of HACCP controls and proper food storage
  • ability to monitor compliance with health and fire regulations
  • exceptional business etiquette and client relations
  • strong catering experience
  • conformity to personal integrity and ethical behavior
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Participates in employee meetings, reviews, and training programs
  • manages in compliance with company’s established policies and procedures
  • manages in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards
  • establishes and maintains good rapport with staff, client, guest, and other departments
  • manages financial acumen including financial reporting with sales reports, P&L reports, writing and adhering to annual budgets, and cash handling
  • analyzes and creates trends for financial data
  • manages purchasing and inventory controls
  • plans menus in consultation with chefs
  • knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food
