Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years documented restaurant management experience
  • 5-7 years overall restaurant experience in QSR or similar
  • ability to manage P&L responsibilities
  • strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills
  • knowledge of HMSHost operational policies and product standards or willingness to learn
  • proficiency in reading and comprehending instructions and menus
  • ability to work varied and rotating schedules including opening and closing shifts
  • demonstrated capability in managing employee relations and promoting diversity
  • compliance with health and safety protocols
  • capacity to adapt to and adopt new technologies
  • strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Job Qualifications

  • documented and demonstrated skills managing QSR or similar restaurants with P&L responsibility
  • minimum of 3 years restaurant management experience and 5-7 years overall restaurant experience
  • graduation from a food service management or culinary program may substitute some experience
  • strong team management and delegation skills
  • problem resolution and multitasking abilities
  • knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, and operational standards
  • ability to read, comprehend, and communicate instructions and policies
  • proficiency with management information systems such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
  • commitment to employee engagement and motivation
  • ability to implement marketing programs and drive sales
  • understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant ensuring all checklists are completed
  • deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and maintain P&L responsibility
  • assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered
  • provide consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff
  • interview candidates and make decisions on hiring, termination, and promotions
  • promote diversity and inclusion within the restaurant
  • ensure onboarding and compliance with training and badging requirements
  • monitor product availability, oversee invoices and vendor relations
  • maintain and schedule restaurant equipment servicing
  • manage responses to audits
  • minimize waste and support food donation programs
  • assess employee skills and coordinate training
  • embrace and promote new technology adoption
  • maintain knowledge of brand standards, lease agreements, and labor relations
  • develop strategies to increase revenue
  • manage daily activities and resolve customer and associate inquiries
  • implement marketing programs and drive revenue generation
  • ensure compliance with all safety, sanitary, and health standards
  • hold managers accountable for safety standards
  • train staff on wellness and COVID-19 protocols
  • perform health and safety activities as required.
