Job Requirements

  • Proven track record managing quick service or similar restaurants
  • demonstrated profit and loss responsibility for multiple annual cycles
  • ability to delegate and manage multiple priorities
  • strong knowledge of company policies and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
  • ability to speak, read, and comprehend documents
  • capability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • adherence to health and safety laws and company protocols
  • willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends
  • ability to utilize management software tools such as MIV, Kronos, and Crunch Time
  • capability to maintain compliance with brand and landlord standards
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of restaurant general management experience
  • five to seven years of overall restaurant experience
  • graduation from food service management or culinary program preferred
  • demonstrated skills in team management and delegation
  • strong problem-solving and issue resolution abilities
  • knowledge of food service operations, quality standards, and equipment
  • effective communication skills including reading and comprehending instructions
  • ability to train and motivate staff
  • understanding of financial statements and profit and loss management
  • familiarity with technology and management information systems
  • commitment to maintaining health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • ability to work flexible and rotating schedules

Job Duties

  • Open and close restaurant following established checklists
  • manage staffing and deployment to maximize profitability
  • assign work tasks and prepare schedules ensuring shift coverage
  • provide coaching and support to restaurant staff
  • conduct interviews and make hiring and promotion decisions
  • ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion policies
  • onboard and offboard associates with necessary training and compliance
  • read and analyze financial and operational reports
  • recognize staff performance and support recognition programs
  • enforce employee engagement behaviors
  • maintain updated associate contact information
  • prepare daily orders and maintain stock levels
  • oversee receiving, invoicing and vendor communications
  • maintain proficiency in management systems and technology
  • monitor and schedule maintenance for restaurant equipment
  • participate in audits and food donation programs
  • assess staff skills and coordinate training
  • promote adoption of new technologies
  • uphold brand, labor, and lease agreement standards
  • develop and implement revenue growth strategies
  • manage daily activities and resolve customer and staff issues
  • provide feedback aligned with development and business goals
  • implement marketing programs and comply with promotional activities
  • maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
  • hold managers accountable for safety standards
  • train staff on wellness and COVID-19 protocols
  • perform health and safety activities as specified in company guidelines
  • work varying schedules including opening, busy, and closing shifts to oversee operations
  • report to Director of Operations or area leader
  • manage overall restaurant success and profitability
  • ensure continuous team motivation and operational excellence
