Job Requirements

  • Ability to manage QSR or similar complexity restaurants with documented success
  • Proven track record managing restaurant P&L and overall operations
  • Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and resolve multiple concurrent priorities
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn HMSHost systems including Kronos and Crunch Time
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, read and follow instructions and policy documents
  • Must work varied and rotating schedule including opening, peak, and closing shifts
  • Adherence to federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • Ability to train managers and employees in wellness and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience with P&L responsibility
  • 5-7 years of overall restaurant experience
  • Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute a portion of experience
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, and operational standards or ability to acquire knowledge quickly
  • Strong communication skills with ability to read, comprehend, and converse effectively

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant ensuring all closing and opening checklists are executed
  • Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and accept full P&L responsibility
  • Assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Provide consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
  • Interview, hire, advance, promote, or terminate associates and promote HMSHost as an employer of choice
  • Ensure product availability by managing orders, receiving goods, invoicing, and addressing supply chain issues
  • Maintain proficiency in management systems and tools, monitor and schedule equipment maintenance, and manage responses to audits
