Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years managing quick-service or casual dining restaurants
- Proven ability to handle P&L responsibility
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Ability to develop and motivate teams
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Proficiency with management systems such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years restaurant P&L management experience
- Total of five to seven years restaurant experience
- Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program preferred
- Demonstrated team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable reading and interpreting policy and brand standards
- Experience with quick-service restaurants or similar operations
Job Duties
- Open and close the restaurant
- Ensure staff recognize importance of closing and opening duties
- Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and accept P&L responsibility
- Prepare schedules and assign tasks
- Provide support, coaching, and encouragement to achieve business goals
- Conduct hiring, termination, promotion, and other status decisions
- Ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion philosophy
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding of staff
- Monitor financial and operational data
- Recognize staff contributions
- Champion employee engagement behaviors
- Manage product orders and stock levels
- Oversee receiving goods and supply chain issues
- Maintain proficiency with management information systems
- Monitor and maintain restaurant equipment
- Participate in company audits
- Minimize waste and participate in food donation programs
- Assess staff skills and coordinate training
- Promote adoption of new technologies
- Maintain knowledge of brand standards and landlord agreements
- Implement revenue-increasing strategies
- Manage day-to-day associate activities
- Resolve customer and associate problems
- Provide ongoing feedback
- Implement marketing and promotional programs
