Job Requirements
- Documented skills managing QSR or similar restaurants with P&L responsibility for multiple annual cycles
- Minimum of 3 years of restaurant P&L management experience
- 5-7 years of overall restaurant experience
- Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute some experience
- Strong team management and delegation skills
- Knowledge or ability to quickly learn HMSHost policies and operational standards
- Ability to communicate effectively and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Willingness to work varied and rotating schedules including opening and closing shifts
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrate documented skills managing restaurants similar in type and complexity
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant P&L management experience and 5-7 years of overall restaurant experience
- Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute part of experience
- Strong team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, quality, equipment, and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
- Ability to communicate effectively reading and comprehending instructions, policy documents, menus, and brand standards
Job Duties
- Open and close the restaurant ensuring all closing and opening checklist requirements are met
- Staff and deploy resources effectively to maximize profitability and cover all shifts
- Provide consistent coaching, support and encouragement to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Interview, hire, promote and manage associates while promoting HMSHost as an employer of choice
- Ensure on-boarding and off-boarding processes comply with company training and compliance standards
- Manage daily ordering, inventory, receiving, and vendor relations to maintain product availability
- Monitor and maintain restaurant equipment scheduling routine maintenance and repairs
- Maintain proficiency in management systems like MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
- Conduct training and coordinate educational activities to maintain skill levels
- Implement creative strategies to increase revenue and comply with marketing and promotional programs
- Maintain and enforce all safety, health, and sanitary standards
- Manage associate performance and development using feedback and recognition tools
- Resolve customer and associate issues utilizing judgment and referring escalated matters to senior leadership
- Work varied and rotating schedules including opening and closing shifts to oversee operations
- Participate in company audit responses and minimize waste through food donation programs
