Job Requirements
- GM must have 5-7 years overall restaurant experience
- Graduation from food service management or culinary program may substitute some experience
- Ability to manage multiple and concurrent priorities
- Must demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain working knowledge of brand, safety, and operational standards
- Must be able to converse and understand documentation in English
Job Qualifications
- Documented experience managing quick-service or similar restaurants
- Minimum of three years of restaurant P&L management experience
- Ability to demonstrate team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, quality, equipment, and operation standards or ability to learn them quickly
- Ability to communicate effectively in English including comprehension of policies, menus, and brand standards
Job Duties
- Open and close restaurant and ensure all closing and opening checklists are completed
- Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and accept P&L responsibility
- Assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered
- Provide support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Interview candidates and make hiring and other personnel decisions
- Ensure onboarding and compliance with training processes
- Monitor financial and operational data and assign associates accordingly
- Recognize staff contributions and support employee engagement initiatives
