Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of documented restaurant P&L management experience
  • 5 to 7 years of restaurant industry experience in similar complexity establishments
  • ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • capability to manage multiple and concurrent priorities
  • demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • willingness to work varied and rotating schedules
  • adherence to federal, state, and local health and safety standards
  • must comply with company onboarding and training procedures
  • ability to use company management software
  • commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant P&L management experience
  • 5 to 7 years of overall restaurant industry experience
  • graduation from food service management or culinary program preferred
  • demonstrated leadership, delegation, and issue resolution skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards
  • proficiency with management information systems like MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to interpret and enforce health and safety regulations
  • experience working in union and non-union restaurant settings

Job Duties

  • Ensures all assistant managers and staff perform opening and closing procedures
  • deploys staff and resources to maximize profitability and covers all shifts
  • interviews, hires, promotes, and terminates staff
  • supports employee engagement and recognition programs
  • monitors product availability, receives and processes inventory
  • maintains restaurant equipment and manages repair scheduling
  • develops and implements creative revenue strategies
  • enforces compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • resolves customer and staff issues using discretion
  • manages promotional and marketing programs
  • ensures training and onboarding processes are thorough and completed
