Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years documented restaurant management experience with P&L responsibility
  • demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency in interpreting financial and operational reports
  • knowledge or willingness to learn HMSHost operational systems
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work varied and rotating shifts including opening and closing duties
  • commitment to uphold safety, health and sanitation regulations
  • ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of associates and customers

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years documented experience managing QSR or similar restaurants with overall P&L responsibility
  • 5-7 years overall restaurant experience in a related sector
  • graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for part of experience requirement
  • demonstrated team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
  • knowledge of HMSHost policies and operational standards or ability to quickly acquire such knowledge
  • ability to read, understand, and communicate company policies, menus and brand standards effectively

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant ensuring compliance with all checklists and requirements
  • deploy staff and resources to maximize restaurant profitability and accept full P&L responsibility
  • provide consistent support, coaching and encouragement to all associates to achieve business goals
  • interview, hire, terminate and promote staff while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion
  • manage ordering, inventory and vendor relationships to maintain proper product availability
  • ensure all restaurant equipment is maintained and functioning properly
  • maintain compliance with all safety, health and sanitation regulations
  • train and develop employees in operational standards, brand proficiency and customer service excellence
  • implement marketing programs and promotional activities as directed
  • resolve customer and associate issues using sound judgment
  • maintain accurate and current associate contact and compliance records
