Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years hotel general management experience with full-service bar and restaurant
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferably two-year or four-year degree in business or liberal arts or equivalent experience
  • Combination of vocational education, training, and experience in hotel skill and management positions
  • Ability to lead and manage a hotel team effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and quality of service

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years hotel general management experience with full-service bar and restaurant
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferably a two-year or four-year business or liberal arts degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, on-the-job training, and hotel management experience
  • Certified Hospitality Administrator designation preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise hotel operations to ensure efficient facility management
  • Hire and train qualified staff to achieve high sales volume and profitability
  • Maintain public satisfaction, confidence, and prestige in hotel service and quality
  • Follow established hotel policies and procedures
  • Remain competitive and achieve budgetary and sales goals
  • Maintain high employee morale through effective leadership
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly for quality standards
  • Select, train, and manage department heads, delegating responsibilities and monitoring performance
  • Participate in and direct meetings related to sales, forecasting, quality control, and safety
  • Prepare timely reports and analyze strategies for improvement
  • Manage payroll performance and approve overtime
  • Foster good working relationships with Food and Beverage Department
  • Engage with guests, potential guests, and community leaders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
