Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Minimum six years hotel management experience with at least two years in a similar role
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Ability to sit for up to eight hours and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws and safety regulations
  • Ability to supervise staff and meet operational goals
  • Adherence to company grooming and attendance policies

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Hotel/Restaurant or Business Administration or equivalent education or experience
  • Minimum six years hotel management experience including two years in a similar capacity
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Considerable knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and budgeting
  • Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and supervise large staff

Job Duties

  • Lead effective management of Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Engineering departments to maximize financial performance while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate and manage hotel operations to maximize profitability and protect financial assets
  • Develop and execute business and marketing plans to maximize room revenue
  • Train and motivate staff to meet company quality standards
  • Set and monitor quarterly goals for departments
  • Encourage productivity and promote team spirit
  • Oversee HR functions including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management
  • Manage payroll and expense control
  • Resolve guest issues and ensure exceptional service
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts
  • Conduct staff meetings and promote open communication
  • Facilitate capital improvement projects to maintain property standards
