Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 8 years of relevant experience
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 6 years of relevant experience
  • General Manager experience in limited or full-service property preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late nights
  • Demonstrated progressive career growth and a record of exceptional performance
  • Commitment to upholding Marriott brand policies, procedures, and standards
  • Effective interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field
  • Extensive experience in management operations, sales, marketing, finance, and accounting
  • Proven leadership ability in hotel management or related hospitality industry roles
  • Strong understanding of Marriott brand standards and hospitality industry trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop strategic business plans and revenue strategies
  • Competence in employee coaching, development, and talent management
  • Familiarity with revenue management tools and financial analysis

Job Duties

  • Develop business strategies aligned with Marriott brand to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
  • Execute business plans and hold leadership accountable for results
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to generate revenue and pursue new business opportunities
  • Manage talent development, coach executive team, and create succession plans
  • Serve as a brand champion and ensure guest experience aligns with brand values
  • Analyze business data to adjust strategies and improve performance
  • Foster positive employee relations and ensure fair treatment and open communication
  • Direct revenue management efforts to optimize pricing, occupancy, and yield
  • Build strong relationships with property owners and communicate performance and initiatives
  • Engage with guests and the community to promote the property and uphold brand reputation
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, operational, and brand standards through regular audits and training
