Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, business management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in food service management, preferably within a campus dining or multi-unit environment
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings and occasional weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 25+ pounds and prolonged repetitive activities
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Commitment to Cal State Fullerton’s diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Must complete all assigned training including ASC, Campus, and franchisor requirements on or before due dates

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing multi-concept food and beverage operations within a campus dining environment
  • Demonstrated ability to set operating goals and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and managing staff performance
  • Strong leadership skills in food and labor cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Ability to utilize operational tools such as MICROS, Monthly Status Report, Quarterly Business Review, cash management and inventory management
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to build positive team relationships and engage customers
  • Ability to handle high-volume or unusual events with professionalism
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace

Job Duties

  • Manage franchise concepts and partnership agreements in the Titan Student Union Food Court
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, discipline, and develop employees
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, health, and safety
  • Ensuring efficient and profitable financial performance of food service operations
  • Oversee inventory management including ordering, receiving, storage, and quality control
  • Collaborate with Associate Directors, Marketing Manager, and franchise District Managers to meet operational goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through direct interaction with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners
  • Lead implementation of seasonal promotions and company programs
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Manage additional operational areas and perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
