Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years related hospitality management experience
  • Four-year degree highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage and direct a staff
  • Effective communication skills
  • Conversational Spanish beneficial
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Willingness to travel locally and infrequently by air
  • Ability to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to lead a team of hospitality professionals
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure associates at the property are driving the company initiatives
  • Demonstrate and promote a 100 percent commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and employees
  • Maximize revenues and flow through to GOP to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA
  • Manage labor standards and property level expenses to achieve maximum flow-through to the bottom-line profit
  • Monitor collection of in-house guest balances and direct bill receivables, commission payments by vendors, and issuance of refund checks
  • Participate and monitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring purchases are within budget
  • Work with District Manager and Regional Director of Field Sales to manage all sales activities and meet revenue objectives
  • Identify and seek out potential business in local market and maintain relationships with local companies
  • Promote 100 percent guest satisfaction throughout the property
  • Recruit and train employees in accordance with company standards
  • Conduct regular meetings to provide information including company communications, policy reviews, and goals
  • Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of property to ensure optimum upkeep
  • Uphold and enforce ESH and Common Oaks standards and policy compliance at hotel level
  • Review and monitor social media to ensure timely and appropriate responses
  • Perform duties in all aspects of hotel operations whenever needed
  • Directly manage and supervise staff
  • Adhere to federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Build solid client relationships in the district and with managers and staff at each assigned hotel
