Job Requirements
- Must live in Coralville, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids or surrounding area
- Must speak fluent English
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs without assistance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Hotel Administration or Business
- 5-10 years of prior hotel management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Develop programs and initiatives to increase team engagement aligned with hotel’s service philosophy
- Develop, implement and monitor team member succession planning
- Establish performance and development goals and provide mentoring and coaching
- Oversee HR-related actions in accordance with company policies
- Maintain compliance with brand and service standards
- Drive improvement in guest satisfaction
- Collaborate to develop and implement guest services and programs
- Engage with guests to obtain feedback and build relationships
- Prepare annual capital, cash flow and sales & marketing plans to forecast budgets
- Analyze financials to drive revenue and profitability
- Use distribution channels and technology platforms to maximize market share
- Lead capital planning and asset management initiatives with owners
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and assets
- Represent the hotel in public relations and local community activities
- Drive team member involvement in community organizations and businesses
- Develop and implement plans to reduce the hotel’s carbon footprint
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Serve as Manager on Duty when required
