Job Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in hotel or restaurant management desirable
  • Practical experience in restaurant management
  • Front of the house customer service and bar experience
  • Back of the house culinary experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • Minimum age to serve alcohol
  • Food handling certification
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls

Job Qualifications

  • College degree is preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in hotel or restaurant management is desirable
  • A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel)
  • 5 years of restaurant management experience including supervising front and back of the house staff
  • Front of the house customer service, host, and bar experience
  • Back of the house culinary experience including food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Minimum age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Food handling certification
  • Compute basic arithmetic
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant including financial, operations, food safety and guest service
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
  • Maintain consistent high quality of food preparation and service
  • Maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule delivery of fresh food and supplies
