Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least six months of management experience
  • CPR/AED certification or complete training within 30 days
  • proven leadership and supervisory ability
  • knowledge of Excel Fitness mission, values, and KPI metrics
  • strong communication skills
  • team-oriented and motivated
  • critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • proficiency in required software applications

Job Qualifications

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • at least six months of equivalent management experience required
  • prior experience as an assistant manager with Excel Fitness preferred
  • CPR/AED certification required or willingness to complete within 30 days
  • proven leadership skills to inspire and supervise others
  • familiarity with company mission, values, culture, and key performance indicators
  • effective communication skills with internal and external customers
  • team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized
  • ability to think critically and proactively solve problems
  • capable of handling sensitive and confidential information
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, DataTrak, Workday, Service Channel, and related applications

Job Duties

  • cultivate the next generation of leaders by identifying strengths and training opportunities for team members
  • lead the assistant manager in planning and implementing member attraction and retention strategies
  • ensure team members are proficient in mobile app, tablet, and POS operations
  • maintain team certifications, training schedules, marketing plans, and operational updates
  • utilize club reporting and platforms to align with company performance metrics
  • manage club budget ensuring profitability and adherence to expenses
  • oversee, supervise, and motivate team players to perform at their best
  • identify training needs and ensure staff meet company standards
  • conduct regular audits to maintain club appearance and standards
  • enforce company policies and guidelines and address non-compliance
  • conduct team player assessments and competency evaluations
  • create and maintain high levels of member service
  • manage hiring processes including job postings, interviews, and new hire training
  • actively coach and document performance management activities
  • collaborate on team member counseling, corrective actions, and terminations
  • perform daily club walkthroughs and ensure cleanliness and atmosphere standards
  • conduct club meetings promoting policies and team culture
  • manage work orders and coordinate with facilities and vendors
  • assist with maintenance during remodels and new club builds
  • oversee fitness equipment extraction and installation
  • initiate community events and outreach activities
  • manage club inventory and ordering
  • mentor assistant managers for potential future roles
  • authorize expenditures and refunds
  • maintain availability off shift for emergencies and operational support
  • ensure all shifts are covered and fill in for assistant manager when needed
