Job Description

Marne Lanes Bowling Center, located at Fort Stewart, GA, is a well-established recreational facility dedicated to providing quality entertainment and leisure services to military personnel, their families, and the greater community. As part of the Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) program, Marne Lanes supports the Department of Defense’s mission by promoting morale and welfare through recreational opportunities. Job Requirements

  • Direct deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • meet qualification, eligibility, background requirements for this position
  • a one-year probationary period may be required
  • satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks per government regulations to include a Tier 1 background investigation
  • ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification through an accredited agency
  • willing to comply with all federal and military employment standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in bowling center management
  • a two-year associates degree in business related field may substitute for one year of experience
  • a four-year bachelor’s degree in business related field may substitute for two years of experience
  • resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities
  • ability to obtain and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification through an accredited agency within first six months
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Duties

  • Manages a bowling or family-entertainment bowling facility
  • formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base
  • oversees the operations of a variety of ancillary departments and recreational activities such as pro shop, snack bar, billiards, catering services, bingo, recreation machines, internet services, video gaming
  • prepares financial and operational briefings as required
  • monitors the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and retail items for the activity
  • represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies
