Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or hospitality management
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Job Duties

  • promote and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Big City Wings
  • effectively delegate work, manage timelines and meet deadlines
  • ensure all restaurant policies, procedures, training programs are followed and completed timely
  • monitor compliance with health and fire regulations
  • achieve sales, service, quality, appearance and cleanliness objectives through employee training
  • monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation
  • ensure compliance with all health, safety, alcohol sales and labor regulations
  • control cash and receipts according to policies
  • count money and make bank deposits
  • investigate and resolve complaints
  • coordinate cooking personnel assignments
  • ensure correct unit count and condition of received products
  • review financial statements and sales reports to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries verifying quality and quantity
  • monitor budgets and payroll records
  • maintain food and equipment inventories
  • schedule staff and assign duties
  • establish standards for performance and customer service
  • perform food preparation and service tasks when necessary
  • maintain weekly planner for management consistency
  • keep sanitation and food records required by government agencies
  • test cooked food for quality
  • organize and direct worker training, resolve personnel issues
  • implement fair corrective actions for violations
  • develop staff professionally
  • order and purchase supplies
  • review operational problems to improve service and safety
  • assess staffing needs and recruit
  • arrange equipment maintenance and coordinate services
