Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in restaurant or food service
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country
  • Ability to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promote work and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Big City Wings
  • Effectively delegate work manage timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ensure that all restaurant policies procedures standards specifications guidelines and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation serving and building maintenance
  • Achieve company objectives in sales service quality appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive productive working environment
  • Monitor food preparation methods portion sizes and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure acceptability
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state county and municipal regulations pertaining to health safety alcohol sales and labor requirements
  • Control cash and other receipts adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Count money and make bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality service or accommodations
  • Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel ensuring economical use of food and timely preparation
  • Ensure proper receipt of products according to unit count and condition and adhere to receiving policies
  • Review financial statements sales or activity reports and performance data to measure productivity or identify cost reduction areas
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries verifying quality and quantity
  • Monitor budgets payroll records and review financial transactions for authorized and budgeted expenditures
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories and inventory records
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Perform food preparation or service tasks like cooking clearing tables and serving when necessary
  • Develop weekly management plans ensuring consistency and development
  • Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies
  • Test cooked food for palatability and flavor conformity
  • Organize and direct worker training programs resolving personnel problems making hiring termination decisions and evaluating performance
  • Administer prompt fair and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies rules and procedures
  • Continually develop staff in managerial and professional areas
  • Order and purchase supplies
  • Review work procedures and operational problems for service performance or safety improvements
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance repairs and coordinate services like waste removal and pest control
  • Track items sold to determine popularity and profitability
  • Create best game day atmosphere during major sporting events
  • Attend all scheduled management meetings and offer improvement suggestions
  • Coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and support operations
  • Fill in for employees to ensure service standards and efficient operations
  • Communicate with team and upper management via email text group message or verbally
  • Maintain food handler TABC and paperwork digitally
  • Move tables chairs and highchairs to accommodate guests
  • Carry trays from kitchen window to front counter dining room or parking lot as needed
  • Refill ice bins beverages clean restrooms bus tables and other restaurant functions
  • Work standing for long periods up to 10 hours
  • Reach bend stoop and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Monitor employee and guest activities for alcohol regulation compliance
  • Schedule facilities or catering services for events and negotiate arrangements
  • Develop plan and implement marketing advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Estimate food liquor wine and beverage consumption for purchase requisition
  • Promote and sample LTO menu items for menu growth
  • Monitor delivery tablets and ensure POS funds management
  • Take dining reservations and catering orders
