Job Duties

  • Promote and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Big City Wings
  • Effectively delegate work, manage timelines and meet deadlines
  • Ensure all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on time
  • Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation and cleanliness through employee training and a positive work environment
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation to ensure food quality
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal health, safety, alcohol sales and labor regulations
  • Control cash and receipts by following cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Count money and make bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service or accommodations
  • Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical food use and timely preparation
  • Ensure all products are received correctly and deliveries follow restaurant policies
  • Review financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to measure productivity and identify areas for improvement
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying quality and quantity
  • Monitor budgets, payroll records, and review financial transactions for authorization and budgeting
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories and keep inventory records
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Perform food preparation or service tasks when necessary
  • Maintain weekly planner for management consistency and development
  • Keep government-required sanitation and food subsidy records
  • Test cooked food for palatability and flavor conformity
  • Organize and direct worker training, resolve personnel issues, make hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate performance
  • Administer corrective action for policy violations promptly and fairly
  • Develop staff in managerial and professional areas
  • Order and purchase supplies
  • Review work procedures and operational problems for service, performance, or safety improvements
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance, repairs, and coordinate services like waste removal and pest control
  • Track sales data to identify unpopular or less profitable items
  • Create the best game day atmosphere
  • Attend all scheduled management meetings and offer improvement suggestions
  • Coordinate with employees to support guest needs and restaurant operations
  • Fill in for employees to ensure service standards and efficient operations
  • Communicate effectively with the team and management through various channels
  • Maintain food handler, TABC, and mandatory paperwork digitally
  • Arrange tables and highchairs to accommodate guests
  • Assist with carry trays and refilling ice bins and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables and cleaning restrooms
  • Stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
