Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food service or hospitality industry
  • At least 2 years progressive leadership or management experience
  • Experience leading a team of 10 or more in a high-volume retail or restaurant environment
  • Valid Manager Food Safety Certification within 30 days of employment start
  • Strong coaching and mentorship ability
  • Capacity to work well with diverse teams
  • Sound business sense with focus on sales growth and cost control
  • Commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Fluency in English
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience in food service, fast-casual dining, or hospitality-focused industry
  • 2+ years of progressive experience as a leader/manager/supervisor
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team of 10+ Team Members in a high-volume retail/restaurant establishment
  • Valid Manager Food Safety Certification (required within 30 days of start)
  • Desire to coach, mentor, motivate and manage Team Members
  • Ability to work with diverse people
  • Strong business acumen with focus on sales growth, cost control and profitability
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and leading with integrity
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed with organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, payroll, scheduling, banking, supplies procurement, inventory management, and product quality assurance
  • Ensure all operational standards, safety, and health regulations are consistently met
  • Manage labor costs to align with budget expectations, optimizing for profitability
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performing team including Assistant General Managers, Shift Coordinators, and Scoopers
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to Team Members
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest service
  • Facilitate timely, clear communication of company updates and initiatives
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and use them as opportunities to improve service quality
  • Drive sales and financial performance through effective leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Engage with the local community to build strong relationships and drive brand awareness
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and follow up on repair and maintenance opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, health and safety regulations, and local laws
  • Maintain the shop's cleanliness, organization, and maintenance
  • Taste and sample ice cream daily to better communicate flavor profiles
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment through open communication, coaching, and embracing company values
