Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior management experience
  • Certification in personal training or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to perform daily physical activities including lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and standing for prolonged periods
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing budgets and schedules

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of personal training experience preferred
  • Prior management experience required (fitness, retail, or service industry strongly preferred)
  • Certified in one or more nationally accredited personal training certifications or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • CPR/AED certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to drive sales and member retention

Job Duties

  • Lead day-to-day club operations ensuring a clean, functional, and friendly environment
  • Partner with operations, IT, and maintenance teams to resolve facility issues
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and standards are met consistently
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor budgets efficiently
  • Hold staff accountable to performance and behavior standards
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing teams
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to staff and personal trainers
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and fun
  • Lead by example being visible and approachable
  • Drive membership sales and retention through exceptional service
  • Develop personal trainers to grow client bases and deliver results
  • Create and oversee programming for member engagement and loyalty
  • Manage KPIs including membership growth, revenue, and satisfaction scores
  • Build strong relationships with members addressing needs and feedback
  • Represent the club in the community building partnerships and awareness
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity, motivation, and accountability
  • Celebrate employee and member milestones and results
