Job Requirements

  • Degree in hospitality, business, hotel or restaurant management or related field preferred
  • valid driver's license and car insurance
  • certification through management training programs
  • completion of Next Step Management Development program
  • Serve Safe Food and/or Serve Safe Alcohol Certification preferred
  • minimum 5 years restaurant management experience
  • strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • ability to read and analyze financial statements
  • proficiency with restaurant equipment
  • effective English communication skills both written and verbal
  • bilingual skills a plus
  • ability to apply company vision, values and culture in decision making
  • basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, internet and POS systems
  • flexibility to work at least 50 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Manage the workforce by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring and training team members
  • plan, direct and evaluate team member performance, set pay rates and work hours
  • handle complaints, discipline and performance management including decisions on promotions, terminations and status changes
  • create a positive workplace environment that aligns with company vision, values, and culture
  • maintain a positive work atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and commitment to company objectives
  • demonstrate responsibility for all aspects of the restaurant and fulfill operational needs to meet guest expectations
  • align with Operations Director and Human Resources on discipline and team member separations
  • establish open communication on guest service expectations and conduct pre-shift meetings and updates
  • audit compliance with federal, state, and local laws including hiring practices and workplace regulations
  • guide management personnel development through training programs
  • lead team efforts to welcome guests and ensure quality operations and customer attention
  • monitor food handling procedures and recipes adherence
  • ensure quality delivery of food and services through inventory management
  • verify team members' knowledge of food safety regulations and achieve acceptable health inspection scores
  • engage with local community and marketing partnerships
  • manage restaurant profitability through sales growth, budgeting, and labor management
  • supervise deliveries and maintain inventory control
  • uphold standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and facility management including preventive maintenance
  • oversee restaurant administrative activities including cash control and financial reporting
  • participate in ongoing education and professional development
