Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings and conferences with potential overnight and interstate travel
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and office supplies
  • Continuous mobility including bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 25 lbs, and walking during shift
  • Comply with all company policies and safety standards
  • Ability to participate in interactive accommodation process if disability is present

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • Proven success in financial management including sales growth and expense control
  • Experience in retail operational excellence and merchandising
  • Leadership skills in talent acquisition, development, and motivation
  • Ability to adapt to change and lead others through transitions
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in ambiguous situations

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink goals
  • Drive profitability through operational excellence, sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets for scheduling to maximize productivity and control costs
  • Address financial and operational issues through analysis and audits
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
  • Stay informed on industry trends and product knowledge
  • Maintain and enforce attendance policies for all associates
  • Attract, hire, and retain diverse top talent, addressing staffing needs promptly
  • Address policy violations and apply corrective actions following company policies
  • Build an engaged and collaborative team embodying the Ulta Beauty brand
  • Foster an inclusive environment promoting associate growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development including training, feedback, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Participate in ongoing brand and category training for personal and team development
  • Share enterprise strategy and align store goals with company objectives
  • Promote teamwork by collaborating with management and providing clear direction
  • Execute Guest Engagement Leader program to drive guest experience and business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Enforce dress code and workplace safety standards
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to optimize operations and workload management
  • Protect company assets by managing inventory control, cash handling, and loss prevention
  • Conduct day-to-day inventory processes including theft and damage reporting
  • Advocate for adoption of company initiatives and technology improvements
  • Communicate store performance and needs to field leadership regularly
