Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hotel or resort management
  • proven financial and budget management skills
  • strong communication and leadership capabilities
  • familiarity with lease agreements and regulatory compliance
  • ability to manage diverse teams effectively
  • knowledge of hotel management software

  • willingness to collaborate with government agencies

Job Duties

  • Creating and maintaining guest-driven operations with a vision that inspires hotel staff to do their best
  • working with the management company to increase total revenue and achieve profitability objectives in all departments
  • cooperating with the National Park Service to operate the property in compliance with lease obligations
  • assuring that hotel services and operations comply with core values and applicable regulations
  • overseeing quality processes to ensure guest satisfaction and financial objectives
  • hiring and managing skilled, passionate hospitality staff
  • demonstrating deep knowledge of all hotel operations and key facts
  • managing assigned functions with fiscal responsibility
  • assuring team members have proper tools and training to perform effectively and safely
  • coordinating with service contractors to provide optimal services
  • regularly reporting operational matters to management company supervisor
  • collaborating on property budgets and managing operations to meet financial targets
  • developing 3-5 year and long-term capital plans with management company
  • cultivating positive community relations as hotel goodwill ambassador and liaison
  • resolving guest and employee issues in consultation with management company
  • maintaining a high profile by circulating through hotel operations
  • coaching employees and providing performance feedback
  • monitoring industry trends and encouraging staff input
  • participating in learning opportunities and applying new processes
  • leading a team focused on security and safety with effective emergency procedures
  • communicating regularly with staff and keeping them informed
  • supporting open door policy and resolving staff concerns promptly
  • preserving the historic property and parkland while operating environmentally responsibly
  • promoting the property with Passport Resorts and collaborating with their marketing team
  • performing other duties as assigned
