Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available to close the store at least once per week
  • Attend corporate meetings and conferences including overnight travel and interstate trips
  • Maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • Experience in retail management or other relevant roles
  • Knowledge of financial management including sales and payroll
  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with basic technology
  • Ability to maintain compliance with company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • Proven success driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets
  • Experience in retail inventory monitoring, operational excellence, and customer service culture
  • Demonstrated leadership in hiring, developing, and motivating talent
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities
  • Effective organizational skills for multitasking
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to change

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink goals
  • Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to optimize scheduling, productivity, and workload completion
  • Address financial and operational issues identified through reports, visits, and audits
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest service experience
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance and enforce attendance policies
  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team while addressing staffing needs
  • Address policy violations with appropriate corrective action following company procedures
  • Build a collaborative and engaged team embodying the Ulta Beauty brand
  • Create an inclusive environment that fosters associate growth and engagement
  • Lead manager and associate development through training, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning
  • Ensure ongoing participation in professional development and education programs
  • Model open communication and align team goals with store objectives
  • Promote teamwork by providing clear direction and establishing priorities
  • Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program to enhance business results
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
  • Use scheduling and task management tools to optimize guest experience and store efficiency
  • Protect company assets by enforcing standards related to safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention
  • Execute inventory control processes including theft and damage reporting
  • Support adoption of company initiatives and technology for continuous improvement
  • Communicate with field leadership regarding business trends, operational challenges, and merchandise needs
