Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience
  • 4-6 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurants
  • ability to work various shifts and weekends
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to handle, reach, bend, stoop, and verbally communicate
  • ability to use close and peripheral vision
  • comply with state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service if applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline employees including terminations
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape a positive restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and variances to management team
  • cascade corporate programs to staff
  • assist team members with duties as needed
  • champion sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality and service issues
  • maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • ensure OSHA, health and safety codes, and company safety policies compliance
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control cash, inventory, food and labor costs
  • manage P&L
  • follow recipes and portion control
  • optimize employee schedules using labor tools
  • ensure proper use of equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform additional duties as assigned
