Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work a minimum five-day workweek including four closing shifts
  • Available to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Familiarity with federal and state labor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Basic accounting and computer proficiency
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to adhere to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants
  • Experience running shifts without supervision
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities

Job Duties

  • Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew and team members
  • Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure all food service meets operational standards
  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practices
  • Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
  • Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels as needed
  • Monitors and maintains restaurant inventory levels and places orders within cost control procedures
  • Completes and maintains all employment and payroll records
  • Reinforces a customer service mentality among employees
  • Resolves guest requests and complaints promptly and respectfully
  • Interviews and hires restaurant crew and management team members
  • Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to address financial or sales issues
  • Develops and implements marketing plans
